With her 15+ years of professional experience, there aren’t many marketing challenges Layla West isn’t equipped to tackle. She was recently appointed Head of Purpose and Communications for British telco giant Giffgaff (turnover: £400M+), after serving the company as Head of Social and PR for more than four years.
Earlier in her career, Layla worked as the Consumer Engagement Director of the UK’s largest publisher Penguin Random House UK, where she created the firm’s consumer brand strategy and launched a sub-brand for 16-24 year olds.
As part of British television network Channel 4, Layla successfully led E4 — the second most popular digital channel for 16-34 year olds in the UK. Remarkably, she delivered a 48% TV-to-web conversion rate in her campaigns, grossly exceeding the 5% benchmark.
She was also recruited as an independent consultant by several leading organisations to work on their content, social and creative strategies in the past. Her client portfolio includes Barclays, Pinterest, FIFA and Wellcome Trust, amongst others.
It is evident that Layla has an astonishing ability to develop innovative, multi-platform campaigns and she brings a creative flair to everything she does. It is this expertise Layla offers to our clients.
